What Vytal stores, and why
Vytal keeps the data you enter so it can run the app for you, and nothing else. There are no ads, no analytics scripts and no selling of data. You can export or delete everything at any time.

What we store
- Your account: name, email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from them and nothing else.
- Your profile: sex, age, height, weight, activity level, goal and target pace. These are used only to estimate your daily targets.
- Your log: the foods, meals, water and weight you record, plus your own foods, saved meals and recipes. We also note which foods you use most, so Recent and Frequent lists work.
- Your settings: units, theme, time zone and meal sections.
What it is used for
To calculate your targets, show your day and history, and keep your log in sync across devices. Your data is never used for advertising, never shared with other users, and never sold. There is no public profile and no social feed.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in Vytal's own database. Connections to the site pass through Cloudflare, which protects and delivers it. Verification and password-reset emails are sent through Resend; we don't send marketing email.
Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no tracking cookies. Your browser may also keep a copy of your theme choice so the right colors show before the page loads.
Export and delete
Under Profile → Account & data you can download your full history as JSON or CSV, and permanently delete your account. Deletion removes your account and everything attached to it: profile, log, foods, recipes and settings.
