How to do it

  1. 1Anchor a band high up, such as on a pull-up bar or the top of a rack, and hold one end in each hand.
  2. 2Stand facing the anchor with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees soft and arms reaching up in front of you with the band under tension.
  3. 3Pull one elbow down toward the side of your ribs while turning your chest slightly toward that arm.
  4. 4Lead with the elbow and draw your shoulder blade down and back rather than pulling with your hand.
  5. 5Let the arm rise slowly back to the start, then pull with the other arm, alternating each rep.
