How to do it

  1. 1Set a single handle at shoulder height, stand side-on to the machine and take the handle with the arm furthest from it, so the cable runs across your chest.
  2. 2Lift that elbow to shoulder height, pointing away from the machine, with your hand near the opposite shoulder.
  3. 3Keeping your upper arm level and still, straighten your elbow to sweep your hand out to the side until your arm is fully extended.
  4. 4Keep your torso square and your elbow up; if the elbow drops, your back takes over.
  5. 5Bend your elbow slowly to bring your hand back towards the opposite shoulder, then switch arms after the set.
