How to do it

  1. 1Lie on your back and raise your legs so they point straight up over your hips, knees slightly soft.
  2. 2Rest your fingertips lightly behind your head with elbows wide, and press your lower back into the floor.
  3. 3Breathe out and curl your head and shoulder blades off the floor, bringing your chest towards your knees.
  4. 4Keep your legs still and upright rather than swinging them, and avoid pulling on your neck.
  5. 5Pause briefly at the top, then lower your shoulders slowly back to the floor.
