How to do it

  1. 1Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart and rest a dumbbell on the front of each shoulder, palms facing in and elbows pointing forward.
  2. 2Brace your stomach and keep your chest tall.
  3. 3Sit your hips down between your heels, pushing your knees out over your toes, until your thighs are at least parallel to the floor.
  4. 4Keep your elbows up and your torso upright so the dumbbells don't roll forward.
  5. 5Drive through your whole foot to stand back up.
