How to do it
- 1Hold a dumbbell in each hand and stand side-on to a bench or box, close enough to place the near foot flat on top.
- 2Put your whole near foot on the box, keeping your chest up and your stomach braced.
- 3Push through that foot to stand up onto the box, bringing the other foot up beside it without pushing off the floor.
- 4Keep your working knee in line with your toes and your hips level as you rise.
- 5Step the outside foot back down slowly, controlling the descent with the leg on the box, then repeat and switch sides.
