How to do it

  1. 1Hold a kettlebell in each hand by the handle and rest the bells on the backs of your shoulders, elbows pointing down.
  2. 2Stand with your feet about hip- to shoulder-width apart, toes turned out slightly, and brace your stomach.
  3. 3Sit your hips back and bend your knees, keeping your chest up and your knees tracking over your toes.
  4. 4Go as deep as you can while keeping your back flat and your heels down, ideally to thighs parallel or lower.
  5. 5Drive through your whole foot to stand back up, keeping the bells steady on your shoulders.
