How to do it

  1. 1Stand facing the object with feet just outside shoulder width and toes slightly out; brace your core and set a neutral spine.
  2. 2Hinge and squat to reach under the edge with a mixed or supinated grip, keeping the object close to your shins and chest up.
  3. 3Pack the lats and take the slack out, then drive through your heels to extend knees and hips together to bring the object to mid‑thigh.
  4. 4As it rises, step one foot forward and transition one or both hands to a pushing position on the edge.
  5. 5Continue driving hips forward and use your legs and chest to tip the object past its balance point—do not curl with the arms.
  6. 6Push it over and guide the descent, keeping fingers clear of the landing zone.
  7. 7Reset your stance, re-brace, and repeat for the next rep, avoiding rounding or twisting under load.
