Suspended squat is a compound bodyweight exercise for the quads, also working the glutes and hamstrings.

How to do it

  1. 1Set the straps to mid-length, hold a handle in each hand and stand facing the anchor with your arms extended and feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. 2Lean back just enough to keep the straps taut.
  3. 3Sit your hips back and down, bending your knees until your thighs are at least level with the floor.
  4. 4Keep your chest up, heels down and knees in line with your toes, using the straps for balance and only as much help as you need.
  5. 5Push through your feet to stand back up, keeping tension in the straps.
