How to do it

  1. 1Set a pulley at the lowest position and stand side-on to it. Hold the machine upright with your near hand and take the handle with your far hand so the cable crosses in front of you.
  2. 2Lean your body away from the machine until your supporting arm is straight, keeping your body in one line from head to feet.
  3. 3With a slight bend in the elbow, raise the working arm out to the side until it reaches shoulder height.
  4. 4Lead with your elbow and keep the lean fixed; do not bounce or pull with your supporting arm.
  5. 5Lower the handle slowly across the front of your body, finish the set, then switch sides.
