How to do it

  1. 1Anchor a band at ankle height, loop it around one ankle and face the anchor, holding a support for balance.
  2. 2Step back until the band is slightly taut, standing tall with your knees soft.
  3. 3Bend the working knee to bring your heel up towards your glutes, keeping that thigh pointing straight down.
  4. 4Keep your hips still and do not let the knee drift forwards to cheat the movement.
  5. 5Lower your foot slowly back to the start, finish the set, then switch legs.
