How to do it

  1. 1Stand with your feet set wide apart, toes pointing forward.
  2. 2Bend one knee and sit your hips back and down over that foot, keeping the other leg straight and your hands on the bent knee or the floor.
  3. 3Feel the stretch along the inner thigh of the straight leg; lift its toes to the ceiling with the heel down to deepen it.
  4. 4Keep your chest up and back flat, and hold for 20 to 30 seconds while breathing slowly.
  5. 5Push back up to the centre and repeat on the other side.
