How to do it

  1. 1Lie back on the pad with your hips directly under the sled and put your feet hip-width apart, flat on the platform above you.
  2. 2Press the platform up until your legs are nearly straight, then turn the safety handles to free the sled.
  3. 3Brace your stomach and bend your knees to lower the platform slowly, keeping your knees in line with your toes.
  4. 4Stop before your hips or lower back lift off the pad, then drive through your heels and mid-foot to press back up without locking your knees.
  5. 5At the end of the set, lock the safety handles again before you bend your legs and step out.
