How to do it

  1. 1Sit in the 45-degree leg press and turn onto your side so your hip and outer thigh rest on the seat and the backrest supports your upper body.
  2. 2Place the foot of your top leg in the middle of the platform, toes turned slightly out, and let the bottom leg rest out of the way.
  3. 3Press the platform up far enough to release the safety catches, then bend your knee to bring it towards your chest, keeping it in line with your toes.
  4. 4Stop before your pelvis starts to roll off the seat, then drive through your whole foot to straighten the leg without locking the knee.
  5. 5Finish your reps, lock the safety catches again and turn onto your other side.
